Hole In One Lawns designs and builds water features for San Antonio and Texas Hill Country homes. The sound of moving water turns a patio, courtyard or pool deck into a place you want to sit, and it covers road and neighbor noise. Every feature is designed in 3D with the rest of your landscape, then built by our own crews with the stonework, lighting, plumbing and plants that make it look like it has always been there.
Water Features We Build
- Fountains: freestanding and wall fountains for courtyards, entries and patios.
- Bubbling boulders and urns: low-maintenance, pondless features with the water reservoir hidden underground, so there is no open pond to clean.
- Pondless waterfalls and streams: natural limestone and boulder cascades that recirculate from a hidden basin.
- Spa spillways and water walls: stone-clad spillovers and sheer descents as part of a pool and spa renovation.
- Dry creek beds: river rock creek beds that look like water and carry storm runoff, often paired with drainage solutions.
- Feature lighting: low-voltage landscape lighting so the water glows at night.
How a Water Feature Project Works
- Consultation. We look at the space, where you will sit and see it, and where power and water can run.
- 3D design. You see the feature in a 3D rendering with your patio, plants and lighting before anything is built.
- Clear quote. One price for the stonework, pump, plumbing, lighting and planting.
- Build. We call 811, excavate, set the basin, pump and stone, and test the water flow.
- Walkthrough. We show you how it runs and how to care for it.

Water Features FAQ
What is a pondless water feature?
The water collects in a basin buried under rock instead of an open pond, then recirculates. There is no standing water, so it is safer, uses less water and is easier to keep clean.
How much maintenance does a water feature need?
Pondless features and bubbling urns need very little: topping off water in hot weather and occasional cleaning of the pump intake. We walk you through it at the end of the project.
Can you add a water feature to my existing patio or pool?
Yes. We add fountains, spillways and water walls to existing patios, courtyards and pools, matching the stone and finishes you already have.
Do water features need electrical work?
The pump needs an outdoor outlet. If one is not nearby, a licensed electrician runs the circuit as part of the project.
How much does a water feature cost?
It depends on the type, size, stone and lighting. You get a clear price with a 3D design before anything is built.
